Monologues - Summertime 2019

Step Up... Speak Up...

For kids/ teens - 10 to 16 years

kaleidoscope banner

"All the world's a stage, and all men and women (& boys and girls) merely players."

Whether we like it or not, we all have to STEP UP and SPEAK UP. Someday... Then why not today? This workshop is designed to make this process fun and smooth for the reluctant players and challenging and fun for the theatre enthusiasts. We conduct these workshops in a small group, risk-free environment in order to give each student a customised training, a fun workshop and an experience worth its every moment.

  • Whether it is auditions or public speaking, storytelling or facing interview,  monologue (and/or its literary cousins) is the key. Theatre literacy wise, monologues offer a single, simple challenge to the student. To the teacher they offer an opportunity to customise the training to help each student explore theatre at own pace, in a risk-free, fun environment.

Our trainers are passionate about theatre and find joy in sharing it with utmost sincerity. No wonder then, the students discover that joy!

  • Workshop

An opportunity to select, improvise, rehearse and perform monologues.

In this Workshop, students will read multiple monologues and select one that they are excited to perform. They will explore different voices, styles of performing to their peer group and give/get feedback from peers, select one that works for them, rehearse and on the final day, present to an audience comprising their family and friends.
